Carpentaria Highway

NT Bitumen & Asphalt was proudly contracted by Exact Contracting, on behalf of the Northern Territory Government, to deliver a major upgrade to the Carpentaria Road—sealing 125 kilometres comprising roads, intersections, floodways, and truck bays.

  • Stage 1: 48 km between CH 2 and CH 50
  • Stage 2: 77 km between CH 50 and CH 140

A durable 20/10mm two-coat seal was selected to provide optimal performance in remote and demanding conditions.

Throughout the project, NTBA supported local industry by sourcing bituminous products and sealing materials from Northern Territory suppliers wherever possible.

Delivered on time and to a consistently high standard, the project received strong commendation from government stakeholders and our contracting partner. NTBA have been engaged to provide services for the upcoming Stage 3, estimated to begin in August 2025.
